Job Description

The BAE Systems site in Aiken, South Carolina, is seeking a Quality Analyst with credentials as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI). In this role, the Quality Analyst: CWI:

  • Develops and writes inspection plans.
  • Read and work to blueprints.
  • Applies Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) concepts.
  • Monitors Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts and data files.
  • Processes non-conformances for disposition.
  • Provides technical quality support to production and engineering.
  • Performs welding inspections.
This position supports on the 2nd Shift:
  • 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
  • 5/40 schedule
  • Limited overtime as required.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Typically requires a High School diploma (or GED or equivalent) and 6 years related work experience (i.e. quality, inspection, welding, NDT, etc.), or an Associates Degree and 4 years related work experience, or a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years related work experience, or the overall equivalent.Must be a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Ability to read, interpret and work to blueprints.Working knowledge in GD&T principles and applications.Ability to read and comprehend raw material specifications.Must be able to support 2nd Shift, 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm. Overtime as required.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • ORACLE MRP system;
  • TIPQA;
  • CMM;
  • Laser Tracker/Faro inspection technology;
  • DoD heavy manufacturing environment.
