Sr. Associate, Cybersecurity Risk Analytics
ROLE SUMMARY
The Enterprise Platforms & Security (EP&S) team supports Pfizer's technology infrastructure services, ensuring highly available and secure communications throughout the corporation and with external partner organizations. EP&S secures Pfizer's most important information assets through world class protections that enable rather than limit critical business operations. As part of the Pfizer Digital organization, the EP&S team is a key enabler in Pfizer's ongoing digital transformation.
The Sr. Associate, Cybersecurity Analytics role will be a key contributor in the Cybersecurity Analytics team, which provides big data capabilities, visualizations, advanced analytics, requirements consultancy and subject matter expertise to protect Pfizer from the ever-changing cyber threat landscape.
This colleague will be focused on our risk analytics, developing new ways of using our data to improve Pfizer’s capabilities to identify and rapidly remediate system vulnerabilities. This role will collaborate closely with Global Information Security organization to ensure we are enabling them to best protect Pfizer and enabling Pfizer’s purpose of breakthroughs that change patients' lives.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Support development of Vulnerability Management next generation data model to prioritize remediation of the most impactful issues across Pfizer
Build models to identify and tackle problems, identify underlying root cause and drive elimination at scale
Support risk reviews, vulnerability assessments, and threat identification
Develop and improve existing ways of merging petabyte scale data sources to understand the interaction of entities within cybersecurity logs.
Assist teams in Global Information Security to understand the data sources they need and how that data should be used and analyzed.
Design new visualizations to make descriptive analyses more intuitive and informative for additional modeling
Execute defined periodic review functions to ensure services operate as designed and identify inaccurate support documentation and assist with associated updates
Become a Splunk and analytics expert assisting other teams and more junior colleagues.
Develop and execute against project plans as necessary to implement analytics to enhance and improve Pfizer’s global cybersecurity posture
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Physics or Chemistry or Engineering, MS preferred.
4 years’ experience working in Analytics, Risk related or Cybersecurity field.
1-2 years’ experience working with analytics platforms
Willingness to contribute fresh and innovative ideas
High technical aptitude; quickly learns new skills
Change agile; must take action on projects quickly
Team oriented
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
2-4 years Splunk experience
1-2 years’ experience working with large scale data analysis
1-2 years’ experience working with Python, Java or SQL
1+ years’ cybersecurity experience
A basic understanding network infrastructure and cybersecurity tools
